70 pages (35, 2-page “spreads”)
We found the perfect length of album that tells the whole story of a full-day or partial-day elopement—with plenty of room to showcase the best of the best shots, as well as all the important in-between moments (it fits about ~100 photos). For multi-day elopements & intimate weddings, you can order a “Volume I” and “Volume II” to have a two-volume epic of your wedding experience.
Seamless spreads with thick “layflat” pages
We tested 7 different professional labs to find the best quality matte album pages. With 70 pages (35, 2-page spreads), this thing is THICK and weighs an impressive 9 lbs. Each page of your album is thick & sturdy with a 1.3mm weight (640 gsm)—that’s 25x thicker than your average printer paper. Each 2-page spread is free from an ugly “seam” down the middle, so you can view your photos in their full panoramic glory.
Museum-quality matte paper with vibrant & vivid ink
Each spread (2-page layout) is printed using the same technology used for gallery prints in a museum—rated to last generations without discoloring, yellowing, or fading. The archival inks give you crisp & clean “whites,” true contrasty “blacks,” and true-to-life skin tones and colors so that your photos look better on these pages than they do on a screen—and exactly how we intended when we edited them.

The highest quality full grain genuine leather develops a beautiful natural patina over time with handling. The “honey” color specifically has gorgeous natural imperfections which make each cover unique.
Eco-Leather
Beautiful, realistic-feeling vegan leather made from 55% Viscose Rayon and 45% Polyester. It’s also completely free from conflict minerals, flame retardants, POP’s & PVC.
Book Cloth
An elegant cover material for those who love the classic “linen” look & feel. This beautiful and durable material is reminiscent of old-school hand-bound book cloth and feels luxurious.

Professional Design
Our professional graphic designer with more than 5 years of album design experience will take the hand-selected images from your photographer and craft them into a beautifully minimalist design that best showcases your photos and perfectly tells your story, so it feels like a “movie” as you flip through it.
2 Rounds of Unlimited Design Changes
After being sent your initial design and making your initial payment, you are free to request as many changes as you’d like to the layout or switch out any photos (this would be the first “round” of design changes). Then you’ll see the next version and can make one more “round” of any changes you’d like to get to the final design that you’ll order. *Note: Both “rounds” of design changes must be completed within 60 days of your initial payment.
Any Cover Material and Binding Style of Your Choice
Pick from 15 different cover colors in full-grain leather, eco-leather, or linen—and choose whether you’d like a full wrap cover or a “messenger” style cover with a “tie” (“messenger” style only available in full-grain leathers). There’s no extra charge for any cover material or style you choose.
Any Debossing Design of Your Choice
You decide if you’d like your album cover debossed (i.e. “stamped”) with your initials, names, date, GPS coordinates, map silhouette, etc. and choose what color you’d like the debossing to be. You also have the option to add your wedding date to the spine of your album. There’s no extra charge for any of these debossing options.
Beautiful, Eco-Friendly Packaging & Free Carbon-Neutral Shipping
When you receive your album, it will be beautifully packaged in an exclusive “Adventure Instead” album box, with instructions on how to care for it, all properly protected as it makes its way to you. All packaging material is biodegradable, and we offset the carbon from shipping costs by planting trees in Central America (via Trees Water People).

We’ve worked hand-in-hand with our printing lab to ensure that the materials, production, and business processes used to create these albums are in alignment with our own earth-friendly values.
- There are no harsh chemicals used in any of the production processes.
- All album page paper is custom cut to reduce any trimmed waste paper and all paper remnants and cardboard are recycled.
- The glue is non-toxic and any extra is donated to local schools.
- Remnant leather is donated to nonprofits that use it for projects like baby shoes & jewelry.
- All packaging is biodegradable and as many materials as possible are sourced locally.
- All staff live within a 10-mile radius of the facility and carpooling is encouraged.

here’s how it works
- View your free initial album design we emailed you (we already did the hard work) and remember you’ll have 2 full rounds of unlimited design changes to make it exactly what you want.
- Make an initial payment of $250, which will be applied to the total balance of the album(s) that you choose.
- You have a full 60 days to finalize your album design, figure out how many, and what size of albums you want (and of course pick your cover materials & debossing options).
- You then have an additional two months (from the date you receive your invoice) to pay the remaining balance for your album(s).
- Once you’ve approved all designs and made your full payment, we’ll get your album(s) printed and you’ll have them in your hands within 6 weeks! (*continental USA).
